Who is the Malardalen University Scholarship not for?
The scholarship is NOT open for students from the twelve countries in which Sweden has long-term development cooperation. The twelve countries include:

- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Mali
- Mozambique
- Rwanda
- Tanzania
- Uganda
- Zambia
Students from these countries should instead apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.
Requirements for Malardalen University Sweden Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the Malardalen University Sweden Scholarship, you must fulfill the following criteria:
- Applicants must be international students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- Must have applied for a Master’s program at Malardalen University as their first choice.
- Should meet the university’s academic requirements for the chosen program.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in English through recognized tests like IELTS or TOEFL.
- Only fee-paying students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Benefits of Malardalen University Scholarship 2025
- The scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fee of the program as long as you follow the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits per semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year). The scholarship does not cover living expenses.
- If your status changes from fee-paying student to non-paying student during the program’s study period, you will no longer be granted the scholarship.
