The 2025 edition of Dalhousie University Scholarships is open and calls for all qualified candidates to submit their applications. This will afford all candidates that will be shortlisted an opportunity to enjoy fully funded scholarship for their masters program.

Call for applications will end on January 15, 2025 and you need to apply before the deadline. No application fee is required and this post contains every single information you need.

Dalhousie University International Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the Dalhousie University International Scholarship, you must:

  • Be a domestic or international student. You can be a student of the university or you can also apply while you are from countries other than Canada.
  • Be applying to pursue a postgraduate Master’s or Doctoral degree at Dalhousie
  • Apply for the respective scholarship of your eligibility before the deadline
  • Be eligible to receive scholarship support for at least two years
  • Meet the individual requirements of each scholarship

Dalhousie University Scholarship 2025 Duration and Reward

There are many scholarships available under Dalhousie University Scholarships. Some of them include:

  • Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship – $40,000 per year for up to two years. You can win this scholarship as a masters degree student or as a PhD student. Which ever one, be sure that it is a fully funded program.
  • Dalhousie Research Excellence Scholarship – $35,000 per year • Up to four years
  • Chinese Scholarship Council – PhD scholarship – Tuition, airfare and living allowance for up to 4 years
  • Killam Predoctoral Scholarship Level 1 (Master’s) – Up to $25,000 per year for up to two years, plus international tuition fees and relocation allowance, if applicable
  • Killam Predoctoral Scholarship Level 2 (Doctoral) – Up to $30,000 per year for up to three years, plus President’s Award for up to two years and relocation allowance, if applicable
  • Nova Scotia Graduate Scholarship – $15,000 ($10,000 for Masters) per year for up to four years
  • The Vitamin Scholarship – Doctoral – $21,000 per year for up to two years
  • Scotia Scholars Award – $10,000/year (master’s) and $15,000/year (doctoral) • Up to 2 years (master’s) and up to 4 years (doctoral).
  • Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships – $50,000 annually for three years.

How To Apply for the 2025 Dalhousie University Scholarships

To apply for the Dalhousie University Scholarships, you have to use the Harmonized Scholarship portal to;

  • Log into the FGS Scholarship Management Platform.
  • Create a new scholarship application by selecting “Create New…” and “Major Scholarship Competitions” OR edit an existing on by selecting from the “My Applications” list on your homepage. 
  • Select the application category which applies to you from one of the three options provided
  • You are encouraged to complete the self-identification questionnaire found in the online scholarship platform. 
  • Click “Save and Next” at the bottom of each page to move through the application.
  • You must upload official transcripts directly in the scholarship portal as referenced in the instructions found in the application. 
  • All reference assessments must be submitted to the portal before the application deadline.
  • Agree to terms and conditions and click “Save and Finalize” to complete and submit the application.
