JAMB Cut-Off Mark for school of Nursing 2025: The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced 150 as the minimum cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian school of Nursing for the 2025/26 academic session. This conclusion was reached during the 2025 JAMB policy meeting that was held in Abuja.
With this, no candidate with score less than JAMB cut-off mark for school of Nursing will be admitted into school. However, while JAMB has set 150 as the minimum score for admission, it is important to know that some schools may go higher than that score to peg their own criteria for seeking admission into the institution. This is mostly obtainable when competitive institutions are looking for a way to reduce the chances of their teaming applicants.
In this post, we will share with you the list of school of Nursing in Nigeria and their cut-off marks. We will also provide other necessary information that can aid you in your admission pursuit.

What is a school of Nursing?
A school of nursing is an educational institution that trains individuals to become professional nurses. It offers programs such as diploma in nursing, basic nursing, or midwifery. Students learn both theoretical and practical aspects of nursing.
They are taught subjects like anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and patient care. Clinical postings in hospitals are part of the training to gain real-life experience. After graduation, students write professional exams to become licensed nurses.
Schools of nursing are often affiliated with teaching hospitals. They prepare students to care for patients, promote health, and assist in treatment. Graduates can work in hospitals, clinics, and communities.

FAQs
What is JAMB cut-off mark for school of Nursing 2025?
JAMB mandates that the lowest allowable UTME score for admission into school of Nursing is 140. Just like polytechnics, individual colleges may set their own higher cut-off marks based on demand and internal admission policies.
Is JAMB 2025 cut-off marks for all institutions out?
Yes. The national benchmarks—150 for universities, 140 for polytechnics and school of Nursing—have been officially released. Many school of Nursing publish their own thresholds, which can vary significantly above the national minimums. Therefore, while the JAMB-wide figures are out, you should also check specific institutions for their particular cut-off marks.
Can I buy the 2026 JAMB UTME form if I didn’t score up to 140?
Yes! Your UTME score doesn’t affect your ability to register for the next year’s UTME. Each year is independent. If you scored below 140 in the 2025 exam, you’re still fully eligible to purchase and sit for the 2026 UTME until the annual registration deadline. Your past score will not block you from trying again.
Is JAMB 2024 cut-off mark the same for all institutions?
Yes, for 2024 the national cut-off marks were the same across all institutions: 140 for universities and 140 for polytechnics and school of Nursing. However, like in 2025, institutions still had the prerogative to set higher internal thresholds, so the actual entry requirements varied depending on the school and program.
Conclusion on JAMB Cut-Off Mark for school of Nursing
the JAMB cut-off mark for schools of nursing is an essential requirement for admission. It serves as a benchmark to select qualified candidates. Most schools of nursing in Nigeria set their cut-off marks higher depending on their standards and competition. Scoring above the cut-off mark increases your chance of getting admission but does not guarantee it. You must also perform well in the school’s post-UTME or entrance examination.
The above list can guide prospective students, parents, or guardians on the accredited Schools of Nursing to look out for as well as the other necessary details that can assist them in making the right decision about the choice of institution for their nursing program.
