The Kyoto University ADB-JSP Scholarship in Japan 2025 is now accepting applications. This is a fully financed Japanese scholarship program for graduate and master’s degree programs offered to international students.
The Kyoto University ADB-JSP Scholarship in Japan of the Asian Development Bank gives eligible nationals of ADB member nations the chance to pursue postgraduate study in development-related subjects. One of the program’s destination universities that currently opens the door for new students is Kyoto University.

Kyoto University ADB-JSP Scholarship Benefits
The ADB-JSP will cover;
- tuition fees,
- travel expenses,
- subsistence allowance of approximately 147,000 yen/month,
- medical/accident insurance,
- books/instructional material and research allowances,
- miscellaneous. *You are required to submit a financial report every 6 months and need to keep all the receipts for the goods you have purchased from this fund.
Kyoto University ADB-JSP Scholarship in Japan Eligibility
All applicants of the ADB-JSP must:
- A national of an ADB borrowing member. Not hold dual citizenship of any developed country. Gained admission to an approved i-PM course at Kyoto University. A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record.
- At least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience (acquired after a university degree) were required at the time of application. Proficiency in oral and written English communication skills is necessary to be able to pursue studies.
- Not more than 35 years old at the time of application. (*Our program is not specified for senior officials and managers by ADB. Therefore, the age limit is not more than 35 years old.)
- In good health and should agree to return to his/her home country after completion of studies under the Program. (Required to work in his/her home country more than 2 years after that.)

applicants. - Income certificate(s): Individual annual income should be issued by the current employer and family
income (parents/spouse) should be certified true copy or notarized, in English with a US$ equivalent.
