Orange Knowledge Program In Netherlands 2025 (Fully Funded)

Application is invited to apply for the Netherland Government Orange Knowledge Program. This is a fully funded scholarship program for international students to study in Netherlands Universities. The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) is a prestigious scholarship program aimed at supporting professionals from developing countries in their pursuit of higher education and professional development opportunities in the Netherlands.

The OKP scholarship program focuses on a wide range of fields, including agriculture, engineering, environmental sciences, economics, governance, and many others. It aims to empower individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to address pressing global challenges and drive positive change in their respective fields and communities.

Through the Orange Knowledge Programme, participants have the opportunity to pursue master’s degree programs, short courses, and tailor-made training programs at Dutch higher education institutions and other organizations. The OKP scholarship covers various expenses such as tuition fees, visa costs, travel expenses, health insurance, and a monthly allowance for living expenses.

About This Orange Knowledge Program

The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) offers scholarships funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs available for a selection of:

  • short courses (round 2: duration 2 weeks to 7 months);
  • master’s programs (duration 12 to 24 months).

Countries

Please note that the list of participating countries is subject to change and is yet to be updated. In previous rounds, you were eligible for an OKP scholarship if you are a national of and working in:

Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Yemen.

Applicants for master’s programs from Indonesia should apply through the OKP-LPDP joint program.

Requirements

A limited number of scholarships is awarded to female and male professionals who are:

  • motivated;
  • living and working in an OKP country;
  • proficient in English or French;
  • working in one of the priority areas of their country;
  • can motivate using and transferring their knowledge and experience in their employing organization after their studies;
  • agreeing to the Obligations and conditions.

Deadlines For The Orange Knowledge Program

The Orange Knowledge Programme is planned to end on 31 December 2024. As a result, there will be no application rounds in 2024.

Financial Benefits

OKP Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship for international students for MS undergraduate programs, as well as for short courses. The scholarship will cover the cost of living in the Netherlands, such as:

  • Full tuition fees
  • Visa
  • Travel
  • insurance

Note: You must cover any difference between the value of the OKP grant and the actual costs. OKP is initiated and funded entirely by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study abroad for free in the Netherlands.

Check if your application falls within the OKP focus areas determined for your country. Check if you meet the OKP eligibility criteria.

Find a course on the OKP course list. Please find a study, using the filter ‘Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP)’. Ask your employer whether they are willing to nominate you for an OKP scholarship.

Contact the Dutch education institution of your choice to receive more information about the application procedure, the academic requirements, and the link to apply online.

Prepare your application: employer statement, motivation, passport, and government statement (if required). During an application round, submit your application online using the link you receive from the Dutch education institution.
