Who is eligible for the 2025 Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship?
To be eligible for a University of Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarships;
- Successful applicants must have completed at least four years of tertiary education studies and have achieved at least an upper second class Honours degree or equivalent.
- Awards are only available to those who will be undertaking a full-time research Masters or Doctoral degree in 2025.
- Candidates must not be receiving another equivalent award, scholarship or salary to undertake the proposed program (if that income is greater than seventy-five per cent of the base Research Training Program stipend rate).
What will Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship offer to beneficiaries?
- The duration of the Award is three years and six months for a Doctoral candidate and two years for a Masters candidate.
- Applicants will be considered for a Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship or Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship (TGRS) which, if successful, provides:If successful, international applicants will receive a University of Tasmania Fees Offset for up to four years.

To apply for the Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents;
- A copy of your passport
- A signed copy of the Supervisory support form
- A Research Proposal
- Evidence of your qualifications
- Certified copies of transcripts/academic records and testamur/degree certificates for ALL previous university studies, complete and incomplete.
- A copy of your research thesis (from your Honours or Masters degree)
- A Curriculum Vitae (CV), this must include the contact details of two referees
- Evidence of English language proficiency
